Under the patronage of the Mayor of Nablus
and in the presence of the Governor of Nablus, Mr. Ghassan Daghlas, the President of the Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Samih Al-Masri, the President of the Businessmen's Forum, Abdul Raouf Hawash, the Director General of the Ministry of Culture in the Nablus Governorate, Samah Al-Kharouf, and representatives from a number of ministries, official institutions, associations, and cultural centers, and under the patronage of the Mayor of Nablus, Dr. Hussam Al-Shakhshir, the Community Resource Development Center of the Municipality of Nablus today opened the permanent exhibition of the Old City, “Habas Al-Dam,” at the center's headquarters.
Dr. Hussam Al-Shakhshir, Mayor of Nablus, emphasized the municipality's ongoing commitment to implementing restoration projects within the Old City to preserve the historical heritage of the Old City, which is considered one of the oldest inhabited towns in the region. He noted the keenness of all city institutions to support cultural centers within the Old City and their various cultural and heritage programs through the implementation of a number of activities and events within these centers.
The governor of Nablus expressed his pride in this achievement, which confirms the need for the Palestinian people to continue their lives and remain steadfast in their determination to stay on their land despite all the pressures exerted on them by the Israeli occupation.
