About Us

The Multi-Purpose Community Resource Center (MCRC) in Nablus is a non-profit community organization established in 1998 under a cooperation agreement between the Nablus Municipality and UNESCO. The center is located in the heart of the old city, specifically in the Habs al-Dam area, near Shbaro Bakery.

The center offers a variety of developmental services to the residents of the old city, especially in the seven neighborhoods: Sheikh Muslim, Al-Habla, Al-Qaisariyya, Al-Aqaba, Al-Yasmina, Al-Qaryoun, and Al-Nasr. These services include capacity-building programs, educational and awareness courses, workshops, and cultural and social activities targeting youth and women.

Additionally, the center includes a kindergarten and a medical center with a laboratory, general medicine clinics, maternity care, and dental treatment. Its aim is to provide humanitarian services to the residents of the old city at minimal, almost symbolic fees.

1) Social Services

- Family and Adolescents Issues: Offering support and guidance to families and teenagers facing various social challenges.

- Disability Issues: Providing services and advocacy for individuals with disabilities to promote inclusion and support.

2) Cultural Heritage

- The Photo Gallery: Showcasing historical photos and stories to preserve and celebrate the local culture.

- Old City Tours: Guided tours to explore the rich history and architecture of the old city.

3) Old City Clinic:

- General Medicine: Offering comprehensive healthcare services for various medical needs.

- Dental Care: Providing dental treatments and preventative care for all age groups.

- Laboratory Services: Delivering accurate diagnostic testing and lab services.

4) Old City Kindergarten:

- A safe and nurturing environment for early childhood education and development.

5) Habs Al-Dam Garden

- A peaceful and scenic public garden for recreation and community gatherings.
